Repeating this effectively gives them infinite carry weight. However, if I then reenter their inventory, I can continue adding items for a while again until they hit another limit. As I add items to their inventory, they eventually reach their carry weight cap as usual and I can no longer add items. I've discovered a very strange issue with companions in Fallout 3.
